About Allen’s Accounting & Advisory
At Allen’s Accounting & Advisory, we specialize in the accounting work that doesn’t always fit neatly into the day-to-day — annual fiduciary accountings, probate and estate matters, and complex financial cleanup. We bring scattered records, complicated transactions, and years of financial activity together into clear, organized accounting attorneys and fiduciaries can actually use.
Our Team
At Allen’s Accounting & Advisory, our work is led by Katie Allen, an accountant who has seen just about everything—and genuinely enjoys the challenge.
Katie began her career inside a fast-paced CPA firm with no niche and no safety net. One day she was auditing a multi-million-dollar manufacturer, the next she was untangling books for a gas station, and the next she was learning a brand-new software system on the fly. That environment shaped her into someone who can confidently step into any industry, any workflow, any messy situation—and bring clarity to it.
Because she was constantly thrown into new systems, Katie learned to master them quickly.

A law firm’s trust accounting system she’s never seen before? ✔️ Go ahead—she dares you.
If your firm uses it, she’ll learn it. Fast.
But everything changed when a colleague casually mentioned, “You know, there’s a huge shortage of accountants who understand trust accounting.” That tiny comment flipped a switch. Katie dove into the legal niche and instantly recognized something: Law firms, fiduciaries, and the professionals supporting them don’t just need numbers organized- they need accounting that is clear, complete, and ready for review,
The work was technical, specialized, and genuinely impactful. And for Katie, it felt like everything she loved — problem-solving, software mastery, cleanups, compliance, and helping people feel confident — finally had a home.
That’s why she made the niche shift and built Allen’s Accounting & Advisory around specialized fiduciary accounting, probate and estate accounting, and the complex cleanup work she genuinely loves.
And while some accountants dread cleanup work, Katie lights up.
Cleanups are her happy place.
Where others see chaos, she sees potential. Years of unreconciled accounts, messy ledgers, missing trust transactions, confusing software setups—these aren’t problems. They’re puzzles she loves solving.
What truly sets Katie apart is that she genuinely enjoys the work other people often want off their desks. Complicated records, unusual transactions, missing information, and accounting that requires some detective work don’t intimidate her—they make her curious. She brings persistence, attention to detail, and a no-judgment approach to every project, with one goal: turning complicated financial activity into clear, organized accounting you can actually use.

Our Story
Allen’s Accounting & Advisory grew from a love of solving complicated accounting problems. After years of working across industries, systems, and financial situations, Katie discovered that some of the work she enjoyed most was the work that required digging deeper—reconciling activity, researching discrepancies, reconstructing records, and figuring out what the numbers were really showing.
That experience eventually led to a more specialized path. Fiduciary, probate, and estate accounting brought together the things Katie enjoys most: detailed financial work, problem-solving, multiple accounts and assets, and the challenge of turning complicated activity into a clear financial story. It was a natural fit—and became a defining focus of Allen’s Accounting & Advisory.
Today, Allen’s Accounting & Advisory provides specialized accounting support for attorneys, law firms, fiduciaries, trustees, and personal representatives who need an experienced set of eyes on the financial details. Whether the project involves an annual fiduciary accounting, a probate or estate matter, or years of records that need to be untangled, the approach is the same: dig in, understand what happened, and turn the complexity into something clear and useful.
From the first conversation to ongoing support, our mission remains the same:
Make the numbers make sense, tell the story behind them, and help law firms build financial foundations they can trust for years to come.
